About Me

I am an ANTHROPOLOGIST.

When some people think about research, they think about numbers, but to me research is about piecing together a story. The beauty of conducting insight analysis lies in the fact that you are seeking to understand people and then present their story - their wants, their dreams, and aspects of their life at that specific point in time. With over 8 years of experience in a professional setting, I am able to do that using both quantitative and qualitative methods. I have conducted research in consumer products, entertainment, consumer electronics, health and fitness, education, casino marketing, food and beverage, and the apparel industry. I am always looking to expand as a researcher and open to new projects.

I am an ARTIST.

Through my art, I create worlds that express concepts related to the future, body-positivity, and self reflection using flash fiction, short stories, poetry, and the time honored art of print block making.

I am a LEADER.

The worlds I create are not just of the imaginary. My strengths in organization, leadership, and in fostering authentic relationships compels me to cultivate safe spaces that help people gain support and to excel.

Genre: Sci-Fi/Flash Fiction

Excerpt:

"Rona's stomach turned, letting her know that the waves inside were crashing and threatening to overflow. She wasn't going to make it all the way to Dayton.

Rona's eyes keep looking down at her hands; her knuckles looked swollen and damp with sweat. Stuffing them in her pockets, she had to remind herself to breath, to blink, to care that the bus was full of the natural and clean, that she even knew one - Dre."

"As principal of Pacific Ethnography, an ethnographic research boutique, it was my pleasure to have Krystal join us on several consumer research field projects. She is a great team member, a solid research analyst, and a strong communicator. I would hire Krystal again if the firm were operating, but I am now engaged as a full-time academic. Let me know how I can help Krystal meet her career goals: she's a valuable researcher and a very strong team player!"

"As a Board Member for Lean In Los Angeles, I helped onboard and train Krystal as a Circle Moderator. Her circle has consistently been one of our top circles, due to Krystal's leadership. Krystal is effective at assessing where her team is and ensuring that she's helping them stay accountable to their goals. She is great at understanding her strengths and opportunities and leveraging her team's strengths. She makes data driven decisions and is a straightforward and effective communicator. She's a pleasure to have on the Lean In LA team!"
